A Clan-tastic night out for all ages!
Glasgow’s ice hockey team, Braehead Clan, head into their second season this month with high hopes, excited fans and a roster brimming with promising and exciting talent!
Braehead Clan, play their home games out of Braehead Arena, just over the road from us here at Xscape. You’re sure to spot an army of Clan jerseys floating about Xscape if you keep your eyes peeled as Clan fans have made the SNO!bar their unofficial home! Guys from the team can be found in there too from time to time so keep an eye out for them. They have been known to hit the slopes and pop into Xscape on their days off too! With Clan jersey’s and team photos on the walls in the SNO!bar it certainly makes all Braehead Clan fans feel very welcome!
If you’ve never been to a Clan game or an ice hockey game, a night out to one of their 2011/2012 season games is a must. With games from September 2011 to March 2012 you have plenty of time to learn the rules, pick your favourite player and become part of the Clan family! It’s edge of the seat action like no other with roaring crowds, fast paced action and an atmosphere to be enjoyed by all ages.
Last year the Braehead Clan’s inaugural season was certainly one to be proud of with the new team finishing 5th in the league above the previous year’s league winners and reaching the Play Off Quarter finals. The Clan also managed to scoop their first piece of silverware when they took home the Aladdin 20/20 Cup, beating some of the best teams in the league.
Why not join the Clan for the first game of the season on 24th September when Dundee Stars take to the Clan’s home ice. Face off (that means game start time to the newbies amongst you!) is 7pm and the games last around an hour and a half (dependant on overtime etc).
