Smillie Xscape on Blue Monday
Monday 16th of January, is widely regarded as the most miserable day of the year. A perfect storm of gloom brings together broken resolutions, empty bank balances, short days and that’s before we get on to the weather.
But Xscape Braehead was not prepared to take this dismal situation lying down. On Monday, Carol Smillie launched the Happy Place, the all weather facility’s plan to banish winter blues and find fun for all the family amid the gloom for under £20
Launching the Happy Place on Monday at Xscape, Carol Smilie said,
‘I’m not a doctor, but I know what lifts my spirits and getting out for a day with my family is at the top of the list. Being active, enjoying the company of your friends and family and good food is pretty good formula for keeping the glooms at bay.
‘The coldest, darkest months of the year are tough enough without the economic clouds we’re all under. So beating the blues while saving money seems like a good combination to me, as far as I’m concerned, you can’t have too many Happy Places so I’m delighted to be part of this launch today.’
Xscape have pulled together all the offers you can get in Centre for under £20, whether you are a couple, family or just visiting with friends, and put them all in one place.
