HOST COMEDIAN – DAVE WARD
"Enjoyable and entertaining" Time Out
Dave Ward is a friendly, upbeat comic with a cynicism that gives his comedy a unique gentle bite. Fluid, quick thinking and with an original take on life, Dave’s material is both varied and universally popular. He has worked alongside such impressively, diverse names as Harry Hill, Frank Skinner and Richard Littlejohn.
OPENING COMEDIAN – JASON PATTERSON
“Jason Patterson absolutely sounds the part. He’s got a rich, deep voice that oozes confidence, and a perfectly measured delivery that gives him instant authority.” Chortle.co.uk
Jason started out in comedy in 2006 and since then he’s performed at comedy clubs all over the UK. Jason also won the Comedy Store Gong show (March 2008) and went on to perform a very impressive open spot there. His strong performances have led to him being nominated for Best Newcomer at the Black Entertainment Comedy Awards 2008. Jason covers a range of topics in his material from Celebrities and Relationships to Gang Culture & his Parents. With the confidence & stage presence of a seasoned pro Jason Patterson is definitely one to watch out for.
HEADLINE COMEDIAN – STEVE GRIBBIN
Sunday Best (GMTV), The Warehouse (YTV), Saturday Night (Meridian),
Comedy Roots (Sky)
Steve Gribbin is a rock’n’roll comedian in more ways than one. As one half of Skint Video, he was one of the hits of many a festival throughout the early 1990s and his treatment of Billy Bragg was little short of brilliant. They also starred on countless television programmes such as Saturday Live, radio such as The Mary Whitehouse Experience, and had their own show Songlines on Radio One. Since branching out on his own, professional Scouser Steve has continued to keep his feet firmly in both camps. A great musician, his songs are exactly that, combining razor sharp lyrics with annoyingly catchy tunes and devastatingly funny humour. Add to this some disarmingly accurate and off the wall observations and you have a real must-see act.
