EVANS BROTHERS XSCAPE ON THEIR BIKES
Glasgow Warriors’ star siblings, Thom and Max Evans, are used to playing in tandem
with each other. But today they were on their bikes to help promote the Warriors’
Magners League clash against the Ospreys at Firhill on Friday night (25 September,
kick-off 7:05pm).
As part of an increased sponsorship deal with Xscape Braehead, “Scotland’s Ultimate
Entertainment Destination”, the players’ faces were emblazoned on “ad-bike’s”
to help increase awareness of the club, and Friday’s big Magners League fixture,
in and around the heart of Glasgow.
The billboards on the specially adapted bicycles will feature both Thom and Max
modelling some of the various fashion brands from Xscape Braehead’s many retail
outlets.
The bikes will travel round the West End of the city today (Monday) and on match-day
(Friday) before being present at the stadium for the big kick-off.
Colin Reid, Marketing Manager at Xscape Braehead, said: "Xscape Braehead is delighted
once again to be supporting Glasgow Warriors this season.
“We see this as a really exciting partnership and are keen to be a very pro-active
partner. Through initiatives like this one today with Thom and Max, we hope to
encourage the Glasgow public to support Glasgow's Biggest Team, but at the same
time offer the Glasgow Warriors fans something to excite them off the pitch when
they visit Xscape."
Xscape Braehead are the first organisation to sign up for the new “Friends of
Glasgow Warriors” initiative which aims to increase revenue for the professional
side and deliver significant return on investment for those which associate themselves
with The Biggest Team in Glasgow.
Glasgow Warriors’ interim Chief Executive, Colin Thomson, said: “I’m delighted
that Xscape Braehead has decided to extend its sponsorship of Glasgow Warriors.
“Xscape is the first organisation to sign up to our new “Friends of Glasgow Warriors”
sponsorship package and I’ve already been impressed with how both sides have worked
together to help engage with the Glasgow public, especially with our aim of getting
more people to come and watch the Warriors at Firhill.”

Snow Stars of the Future Secure Sponsorship
Scotland
’s snowsport stars of the future took to the slopes to celebrate a new sponsorship
deal with SNO!zone and Xscape Braehead.
The indoor snow sports centre and entertainment complex at Braehead in
Glasgow
have announced plans to expand their sponsorship of the Scottish Junior Ski Team
for the 2009-2010 season.
The deal, which is now entering its fourth year, will again cover key costs for
the team of 12-18 year olds as they take on the world’s best at competitions across
Europe and
North America
.
Crucially, the sponsorship will also include unlimited team access to SNO!zone’s
200 metre real snow slope. SNO!zone at Xscape will provide the opportunity for
all weather intensive training before the team takes to the mountains.

Colin Reid, marketing manager at Xscape, added: “From the beginning of this partnership
with Snowsport
Scotland
, we hoped that Xscape would be a stimulus for aspiring ski champions. Having
Scotland
’s rising stars practising on our slopes is very exciting and hopefully it will
not only inspire other young snow-sport talent, but we will see fantastic results
this season from members of the team. SNO!zone has consolidated its reputation
as a top snow venue in its own right and this sponsorship very much underlines
this. Xscape as an entertainment destination welcomes all ages and all abilities.”
