This year’s awards championed Scotland’s young people and gave everyone a chance to celebrate their wonderful achievements. Courageous Ayrshire teenager Stephanie McGoughan was the overall winner after establishing a stable home for her brother following the tragic death of both her parents. Stephanie said: “Words can’t describe how I’m feeling right now, I’m just so overwhelmed. We’ve had a tough couple of years but this is start of a new chapter for me and my brother.”

GMTV’s Jenni Falconer hosted the star-studded ceremony, which was attended by over 500 young people, along with their families as well as politicians and TV personalities. Olympic legend Chris Hoy, former Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson, television’s Colin and Justin, and award-winning actress Kathleen McDermott all joined Jenni at the celebrations, while sizzling girl group The Saturdays and T4’s Tommy Reilly treated guests to spectacular live performances.
