Wild Child Scottish Pink Carpet Premiere!!
To celebrate the release of Wild Child in cinemas August 15th Universal Pictures staged the Wild Child Scottish Pink Premiere at the Odeon,
Braehead on Wednesday the 30th of July and the stars of the film Emma Roberts
(Poppy) and Alex Pettyfer (Freddie) were in attendance to meet 100's of very excited
fans!
And that was not all, from 2pm to 5pm Glasgow Young Scot and Xscape ran their
GO WILD! event which had a whole host of activities which included one day only
discounts, face painting, prize draws live music and nail/beauty parlours plus
lots more.
Wild Child tells the story of Poppy (Emma Roberts - Aquamarine), a rebellious American teenager who, after numerous warnings by her father,
is sent to a strict English all-girls boarding school in an attempt to straighten
out her behavior.
Under the watchful eye of the school’s headmistress (Natasha Richardson) and
surrounded by a new circle of friends and headmistress son, Freddie (Alex Pettyfer
- Stormbreaker), Poppy begrudgingly realizes her bad-girl behaviour will only get her so far.
But just because she must grow into a fine young lady doesn’t mean this Wild Child won’t be spending every waking hour shaking up a very proper system…

The stars took time out to sign lots of autographs, pose for pictures and they
even managed to squeeze in a shot of the Air Assault Bungee Trampolines and the
Climbzone Skypark, Climbing Wall & Fan Drop!!

Emma Roberts the star of the film said:
"I had a fantastic day at Xscape. It was great to meet so many Scottish fans
at the UK Premiere of Wild Child and the reception we got was so warm and friendly.
I was so pleased that I could experience some of the really exciting activities
that Xscape has to offer before I had to head to the airport. I just wish I had
longer!"
Alex Pettyfer who plays Freddie in the film said:
"I had a great time at Xscape, got to meet loads of fans and try out some amazing
activities. All the fans seemed really excited about the film and I am sure Wild
Child will be a huge hit in Scotland and after today especially at Odeon Braehead!"
