Instructor Courses-BASI Level 1
The entry-level ski and snowboard Instructor course in the UK and Northern Ireland
is called the BASI Level 1. The course is approved and accredited by BASI - the
governing body for Ski and Snowboard Instruction for Britain.
The courses are delivered by BASI tutors, who all have a wealth of knowledge
and meet very high technical standards. We are sure that you will find the content
and quality of all BASI courses reflect the above aims, while maintaining high
levels of safety and enjoyment. At the end of the day, we all go skiing and snowboarding
to have fun.
BASI provides courses in five disciplines: Alpine, Snowboard, Nordic Cross Country, Telemark and Adaptive. Qualifications within each discipline are available and BASI is now encouraging members to cross-over from their favoured discipline and to investigate and experience other disciplines. BASI not only govern UK based Instructor and Caoching awards but also internationally recognised qualifications. The Level 1 is the first step to becoming an internationally rcognised instructor. FIRST AID COURSES
These 2 day courses will cover the basics in first aid which meet the required
standard for them to be HSE approved. These courses also meet the required standard
that you need to have, to become a qualified ski or snowboard Instructor with
BASI. This is an essential element of the instructor course which needs to be
complete before any instructors licenses are issued by the governing bodies. This
is not ski or board specific first aid course, but you will have some time spent
on the slope during the 2 days, and some of the discussions will be about skiing
and boarding. This also covers basic in the work place first aid, which a lot
of companies out side snowsports require these days.
The courses are available at SNO!zone on the following dates:
24th & 25th November **FULLY BOOKED**
2 Day first Aid Course - £95 per person |
