The REAL Snow Slope at SNO!zone has something for everyone…

If you’ve only ever had snowball fights and gone sledging in the snow, but fancy taking your snow play one step further get yourself booked on one of our many ski and snowboard lessons. Our fully qualified instructors teach all abilities and levels – so whether you need to start from scratch – or just brush up on your linked turns then our lessons will be able to help you.

Come down and buy recreational slope time by the hour, every day from 9am – 11pm, or get booked onto one of our sessions throughout the week, that offer special features or prices!

Please note: Peak recreational prices apply every weekday from 5pm close and all day during weekends and school/bank holidays.  All prices quoted include skis, board, boots, poles and helmets.  An outfit of warm waterproof jackets and trousers can be rented for £5.  Gloves are not available for hire for hygiene reasons but can be purchased onsite for £10. The purchase of gloves is subject to availability and we cannot guarantee your correct size will be in stock.

New children’s ski lessons are now available for 3-6yr olds - SNO!cubs are for complete beginners and SNO!bears are for children that can snow plough already.  These lessons are different from our standard parent and toddler in that the parents do not accompany their children on the snow but can watch from our SNO!cafe viewing areas whilst the children are expertly looked after by our professional instructors.  Lessons are available to buy in blocks of 4 (each lesson lasts one hour) @ £60.00.  Please call 0871 222 5670 for further details.

Groups Sizes : Ski lessons for those aged 3-6, aged 7-10 are for up to 7 people, and for those aged 11-15 and adults there are up to 10 people in the class. All board lessons are for up to 7 people.    Snowboarding lessons only available for those 7+ Please note: We do not allow anyone other than SNO!zone Instructors to teach on our slopes or use the dedicated lesson slope at any time unless booked on a lesson.

All lessons will include practice & feedback. N.B. You may have to complete certain levels more than once.

LEVEL 1 - Intro to board, slope, safety, stance & balance, toe edge pressure and diagonal movement.
LEVEL 2 - Intro to heel edge, heel edge diagonal movement.
LEVEL 3 - Intro to foot steering and basic turns.
LEVEL 4 - Linked turns, Poma Lift.
LEVEL 5 - Slope Ready, Improve your technique with instructor guidance (on main slope).

LEVEL 6 - Development of turns, control of speed & movements, intro timing & coordination.

 

LEVEL 1 - Intro to equipment, safety, stance & balance, basic movement, straight running in snow plough.
LEVEL 2 - Snowplough and intro to snowplough turns.
LEVEL 3 - Intro to linked snowplough turns.
LEVEL 4 - Basic linked snowplough turns, poma lift.
LEVEL 5 - Slope ready, improve technique, intro to main slope depending on ability.

LEVEL 6 - Developmet of steering/plough parallel, movement, timing & coordination.
