Bella's Blog

Bella is your average girl-about-town, who coincidentally has a mouth on her like the Blackwall Tunnel.  It seemed a good idea to invite her to come to Xscape and write a series of one-off blogs about what's happening at the centre. Watch her though, she's got a sharp tongue on her...

Ciao bambinos!  Missed me?  It can’t have been easy having yourselves ripped from my literary bosom for a couple of weeks, but I’m back in all my womanly glory for another week at the MK News.  Well, the exciting news this week is that because Xscape thought I did SUCH a good job writing for them a couple of weeks ago, they’ve given me my own office!!! It overlooks the snow slope, and is right next door to the security office…PLENTY of eye candy for Bella in both directions!!!!!!

So, the good news is, I’ve managed to spend every day on the beach over the last week…I even managed to get a prime ringside seat for the Kate and Gin performance – boy, that dog can dance!!!!  I was still a little hot under the collar from Strike’s show the week before, and I’m not sure how I’m going to be able to contain myself when Nemesis appear on stage this week….so many dancing boys, so very little time….!!!

It’s not all sand at Xscape at the moment though…I’m dripping with excitement about the imminent re-opening of the city’s number one night spot, Oceana!!  Their first preview night is A-Level Thursday tomorrow, followed by the GRAND VIP opening on 22nd August.  NEEDLESS to say, yours truly will be at the front of the queue with her VIP pass…let’s just hope they know who I am…I don’t want another embarrassing situation…

Finally this week, I’d like to thank all of my devoted readers (I love you…each and every one…) who have e-mailed me…I do reply to all of your lovely messages.  I’m a very good agony aunt you know…if you’d like to air your dirty laundry in public and have Auntie Bella fix your problems, just e-mail me on miltonkeynes@xscape.co.uk. Oooh, and thanks to all who have clicked on my cyber-form online… I’m on Facebook doncha know…  Why not google me sometime boys?

Morning boys ;-)  Very excited that the MK News have picked up my column again this week...well, they'd be fools not to - the amount of publicity just having moi spread over their sheets will bring them...
Check it out this Wednesday!

I'm not happy this morning Campers...you might have noticed a complete lack of Bella in last week's MK News??  I'm sure you missed my words of wisdom and perhaps even shed a tear...well, that's nothing compared to what I thought when I got a call from the editor at the paper this morning telling me that my column was 'under review.'  UNDER REVIEW?!?  Don't they know who I am?
Anyway, here I am repressed into my cyber form. (But what a form, boys...)  I tell you, it's amazing what you come across when you're searching for summer relaxation tips online...needless to say, you won't find THAT kind of activity taking place on the beach this weekend! I know its FUN week, but that's taking it a bit too far.
The highlight of my little week has to be watching STRIKE live at Xscape...the way they ripped those shirts off....ooh I can't even tell you!  I had to take the poor little things to my bosom though...they went flying at Airkix after the show, but were dismayed after their big blow, to find that they had a PARKING TICKET on their car...  Well, I dealt with that - and made sure I took their numbers to text them both with the all clear.  I'll keep you posted on any developments there dears!!
In the meantime, I am about to go into a top level meeting with the MK News to see about getting my column back... Any e-mails of support would be graciously recieved... miltonkeynes@xscape.co.uk...

Wednesday 23rd July 2008

Hi honeys
Yes Bella returns!!! Just loving my second week as Xscape’s roving columnist. Had a great response from so many “well wishers” last week, in fact one sauce pot has asked me on a date, will keep you posted on that one!!!  Managed to cram a lot in, in 7 days, got a call from Steve the marketing guru who got me this little gig, and I told him he doesn’t need to rush back….
I did manage to catch “Livezone” at SNO!zone on Saturday night which certainly was not a dead zone!! The place was ramming with lots of trendy snowboard and ski types, I arrived early with my ACCESS ALL AREAS official pass and anchored myself to the bar and didn’t move all night!!! Needless to say I didn’t get to see any snow but did enjoy the après ski buzz!!! I was slightly worse for wear on Sunday morning and emptied my bag to find a list of mobile numbers scribbled on a beer mat, don’t remember anything!!!
They asked me to do a photoshoot on the inside beach, to promote the summer event, but when I turned up there was only some sand and some fencing dumped in the middle with a palm tree…I said “What’s this???”   I discovered I was a week early and that Steve will be back on Saturday to kick it all off, so I won’t be needed!!!! Cheek!!!!  Still, whilst I was there I did manage to check out OK magazine at the Kiosk, to see if I was featured in a spread from the Mamma Mia premiere at Xscape… I nervously fingered my way to the feature page….only to find that I had been airbrushed….out of the magazine completely!!! I called Lisa at the picture desk and gave her such a mouth full I can’t tell you…
Oh by the way…Tracey who I told you about last week still has not found her passport. But, every cloud during a wet british summer has a silver lining!!! I discovered that Tracey can spend 3 weeks in Xscape for free with loads of summer stuff to do….No passport required!!!! Watch this space campers!!!!

Wednesday 16th July 2008

Hello darlings – Bella Here!  I’m a regular girl-about-town and especially love spending my time in Xscape.  This week, I got a call from Steve – who looks after all of their marketing and promotions at Xscape.
“Bella darling!” he said. “Can you do me a favour? I am off on my hols for 2 weeks and need someone to do my column in the MK News"   Naturally my heart skipped a little beat as I realised that this was my 15 minutes of fame and I am known for my indiscretions!!!!  So here I am, warts and all with the latest news and gossip on what’s on at Xscape!
After a stint on the treadmill and a facial in Virgin Active, and a quick shop for a few summer essentials in Xscape, I went for an early evening cocktail, when I bumped into an old friend of mine Tracey. She looked completely miserable.  I said “What's up love?” and she told me how she has packed her suitcase for her holiday with her boyfriend to Turkey.  "Oooh lucky you," I said.  However Tracey's summer trip may be over before it’s begun as she can’t find her passport!
Being a dizzy blond (well out of a bottle I might add), she has no idea where she last laid it!!!! I am sure one or to of you boys out there may have a good idea!!!  Well I was in a hurry you see – I was off to catch the Mamma Mia premier at Cineworld… So, I made my excuses and legged it from dear old Tracey.......she did ask that I mention her lost passport in my column just in case anyone finds it....
If you find it, or if you just want to chat (I am a fabulous agony aunt too) just e-mail me on miltonkeynes@xscape.co.uk
Until next week darlings!
