1. Entry
(a) The win the Smart Car (herein known as The Prize) entrants must complete
the full entry procedure. This entails entering their details on an official
form into the ballot box, co-operating with the live radio promotion (detailed
in section 1b) and participating in the live final (detailed in section 1c.)
(b) The live radio element of the competition takes place on Horizon Radio, at
the following times/dates:
3rd-7th December 2007 @ 0900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400 & 1500
10th-14th December 2007 @ 0900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400 & 1500
17th – 21st December 2007 @ 0900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400 & 1500
Exact times of live broadcasts may vary slightly should radio scheduling require.
Each competition spot entails the presenter on the radio making a live telephone
call to a person who has entered their details into the ballot. They must answer
the phone with the word ‘baubles.’ If they answer with anything else, they are
out of the competition. If they answer ‘baubles,’ then they are entered into
the live final. Listeners can also record the word baubles as a message on their
answer phone this will be excepted as a winning word.
(c) i. The Live Final takes place at Xscape on Saturday 22nd December. The format of this event will require each contestant that has successfully
passed the previous two stages, to throw two footballs into the hatchback of the
prize from a certain distance. Each contestant will be asked to take their shots
from the same distance. Any contestants that do not get at least one ball into
the car is eliminated from the competition. The remaining contestants take a
second round of shots from a further distance. Any contestants that do not get
at least one ball into the car is eliminated from the competition. This game
format continues until one contestant remains, who is the winner and takes ownership
of the prize.
The Winner will be asked to fill in a form with their details in order to process
the vehicle registration. The vehicle will be registered in the name of the winner.
When this form is filled in, ownership of the car will be considered to have transferred
to the winner, who will be liable for insurance, road tax and all other related
costs. The vehicle comes with 7 days free insurance – this needs activating by
contacting Smart (Birmingham) Full details will be provided to the winner after
the live final.
The final 10 contestants in the game will each receive a family ticket (2 adults
and 2 concessions) to the Milton Keynes Theatre pantomime – Aladdin.
ii. Accessibility. Those contestants who qualify for the live final and are
unable to partake in the event for physical reasons, may nominate someone to play
in their place. Should they not be in a position to nominate anyone, a member
of the public may be asked to play on their behalf.
2. Entries
(a) Only one entry per household. Only one entry per e-mail address. The first
entry drawn from the ballot box will be counted, and any other entries quoting
the same address or e-mail address will be deemed null and void, and discarded.
(b) Entries must be on an official ‘snowflake’ entry form. These are available
from hosts at the Christmas event.
(c) Entries must be delivered in person to the ballot box at Xscape Milton Keynes.
Postal or e-mail entries cannot be accepted.
(d) The closing date for entries is FRIDAY 21st DECEMBER 2007 at NOON. Entries placed into the ballot box after this time will
not be entered into the competition, but data may still be used for marketing
purposes, in accordance with clause 11.
(e) Entrants must be ages 17 or over. Xscape reserve the right not to include
entries which they deem to be from entrants under this age. Should a person under
the age of 17 be called in the second stage of the competition, they will be disqualified.
3. Prizes
The prizes in this competition are:
1 x 57 registered Smart Car – won ‘as seen’ from the event.
10 x family tickets (2 x adult and 2 x concessions) to the Milton Keynes Theatre
pantomime.
There are no cash alternatives to prizes available.
4. Entry Restrictions
Due to the nature of the prize, entrants to this competition must be 17 or over.
This competition is not open to staff members of Xscape or X-Leisure. Entries
from excluded entrants will be disposed of; although some entries may be used
for marketing purposes in accordance with clause 11.
5. Judging
In the event that a decision requires mediation, a member of staff from X-Leisure,
and from Milton Keynes theatre will be called upon. The judges decision is final,
and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. Winners
Winners will be notified in person at the live final event. A list of winners’
names are available on request from the promoter.

8. Publicity
By entering the competition, winners agree to co-operate with reasonable related
publicity.
9. Lost or Damaged Entries.
The promoter will take no responsibility for any entries which are not entered
in the correct manner, or that are lost or spoilt.
10. Retention
Terms and Conditions produced by the promoter, are available on-line and by request
from the promoter.
11. Data Collection
All data submitted will be added to the mailing list for Xscape Milton Keynes.
This data is used for marketing purposes by the promoter, its sponsors and partners.
Data is not sold or passed on to any other third party. Entrants may opt out
from this process by ticking the box on the official entry form. If this box
